SPORTS UPDATE 03/08/19
The first round of the 2019 Boys State Basketball Tournament will kick off tomorrow in Hobbs. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The Wildcats face Hobbs, Saturday at 7pm at Hobbs High School. Portales (11th seed) vs. Roswell Goddard (6th seed) will be playing each other on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Roswell. Texico (4th Seed) will play on Saturday at home against Menual. Three teams in Class 1A. The Elida Tigers (9th seed) vs. Gateway Christian in Roswell at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Melrose (5th seed) vs. Animas in Melrose at 5 p.m. Fort Sumner (2nd seed) 6 p.m. at Fort Sumner against Tohajiilee.
