SPORTS UPDATE 02/19/19
It is tournament time in Texas. That means that one of our local teams, the Farwell Steers have their first tournament game tonight. They’re going to be playing against Hale Center. So good luck to the Steers on their path in hopefully an eventual state championship in Texas. In New Mexico, its boy girl double headers will be the order of the day. For example, the Elida Tigers and Lady Tigers will be playing home contests today against Lake Arthur. We’ve got an all Roosevelt County battle when Dora and Floyd square off against each other. Those games will be at the Floyd facility, and the same situation in Curry County when Melrose and Grady will be opponents. Those games will take place in Grady. Last but not least, the Portales Rams and Lady Rams have home district games against Artesia. If you can’t the drive to the Ram Athletic Center, our team of Coach and Coach will be broadcasting those live on 105.9 KSEL Country.
