SPORTS UPDATE 02/16/19

The Eastern New Mexico University Women’s Basketball team had a chance to play themselves into a tie for first place in the Lone Star Conference, against Angelo State on Saturday. But it sure didn’t look good at half time as they were down by 14 points, but they managed to rally and get themselves the victory, so they are now tied for first place in the LSC. For the Greyhound guys, at one point in the game they were down 16 points against Angelo and they rallied to win by 12. So good weekend for Eastern Basketball. On the high school level, congratulations to the Fort Sumner Fox’s playing against highly regarded Logan, and the Fox’s won by 15 points. The Portales Lady Rams continued to roll right along in District Play. They were in action against Roswell, no problem against Goddard as they got themselves the W. And last but not least, Farwell was playing a stand-alone game against New Hope this past weekend, they were victorious and that sets up the fact that they will be in Texas Play-off action on Tuesday night.
