ENMU MEN’S SOCCER RANKS 17 IN DIVISION II

PORTALES (KSMX)- according to the United Soccer Coaches poll released Tuesday afternoon, The Eastern New Mexico men’s soccer team currently sits at No. 17 in the country
This marks the first time in program history Eastern (2-0-0) has received a national ranking following back-to-back 2-0 victories over previously ranked No. 17 Colorado Mesa and No. 3 Fort Hays State.
Coming off an undefeated week, two Greyhound players were recognized as Lone Star Conference Players of the Week. Junior Joaquin Borruel earned LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors while team captain Ross Dalton was named LSC Goalkeeper of the Week. The Spanish defender, Borruel anchored an impenetrable backline and scored the game-winner of a stellar header against Fort Hays State. Dalton, The Liverpool, England native, posted 11 saves over the course of the week which is the second-highest mark in the conference.
