Winter weather returns with potential for travel impacts tonight through Thursday
CLOVIS (KSMX)- A fast-moving winter weather system has brought brisk winds and snow into the northwestern quadrant of the state tonight.
Snow accumulations will be light with an inch or two favoring west facing slopes of the western and northern high terrain.
Difficult driving conditions will be present where any snow showers produce sudden drops in visibility.
Winter conditions will shift focus to eastern New Mexico Thursday again with light snow accumulations, except a few inches, favoring the southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Sudden drops in visibility from snow showers will again be present producing difficult driving through the I-25 and I-40 corridors of northeastern NM during the day Thursday.
