WEATHER TAKING TURN TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY

CLOVIS (KSMX) – Weather in Eastern New Mexico will take a dramatic shift today, through Friday. According to the National Weather Service, a backdoor cold front will make its way through the eastern portion of the state today, bringing colder temperatures, fog and drizzle, causing difficulty when driving. A second, stronger cold front will move through the entire state, bringing freezing fog, and light snow Thursday night into Friday morning. A thin glaze of ice and light snowfall accumulations up to one inch are possible in some areas. These weather conditions will create difficult travel throughout the eastern region with weather officials urging drivers take caution and remain alert when driving through these certain conditions.
