WEATHER EXPECTED TO TAKE A WINTRY TURN

EASTERN NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Although the weather on the High Plains has been nearing high 60’s this week, the shift in weather pattern is expected to occur today. The National Weather Service reports that today will bring in patches of blowing dust after 11 a.m. Tomorrow winds are expected to continue through with winds 25-30 mph in the afternoon. Sunday, temperatures are expected to drop, bringing a chance of rain in the afternoon and snow in the evening. With nighttime temperatures below freezing, remember to ensure outdoor pets have shelter, and hose bibs have been winterized.
