WATERLINE BREAK RESULTS IN CITY CLOSURES FOR THURSDAY

In a statement from Portales City Officials late Wednesday evening saying

The city is experiencing a main water line break in the vicinity of Bryan Street. This is a 24” inch line that has affected all of town. Crews are in route to mitigate the situation and will work diligently to get the water back on to the town. Thank you all for your patience and we will update as we can. We do apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Unfortunately, the break was not repaired causing all Portales city offices, Portales Schools, and the ENMU-Portales campus to be closed on Thursday Nov 3rd.  If you are in need of services provided by the city of Portales, you can use their website, portalesnm.gov for those that are available online. In person classes for ENMU will not be held on Thursday.
