UPDATE: Retirement Ranch Employee tests positive for COVID-19
CLOVIS (KSMX)- State health officials confirmed 14 more COVID-19 cases in Eastern New Mexico, along with 227 additional cases statewide on Tuesday.
Five new cases were confirmed in Curry County bringing the total case count to 267, one in Quay County bringing the total case count to 17 and two in Roosevelt County bring the total case count to 81 in the area.
Among those who have tested positive in Curry County last week was an employee from Retirement Ranch.
The employee who tested positive on Friday of last week was asymptomatic and on a 14 day quarantine.
According to Trisha Gross, Social Services Director, it was a routine test done on Wednesday and all residents have been tested on Monday since. They will continue to test residents/staff at least twice in the next couple of weeks.
New Mexico has now had a total of 15,514 COVID-19 cases with a designated 6,429 individuals having made a full recovery from the virus:
