UPDATE ON UTE LAKE STATE PARK CLOSURE
LOGAN (KSMX) – Ute Lake State Park in Logan, NM announced last week that the park would be temporary closed out of an abundance of caution due to reports of staff members displaying COVID-19 symptoms. Over the weekend, a release stated that those staff members received their test results and it is confirmed that they tested positive for COVID-19. The park will remain closed until at least August 25th while the facilities are thoroughly cleaned and staff members quarantine at home.
For months, State parks have been open for day use only during the COVID-19 pandemic but Ute Lake State Park is the first of the New Mexico State Park system to close because of COVID-19.
