Upcoming Presentation in Clovis to promote new Outdoor Recreation efforts

Curry County stands behind endeavOR efforts to enrich New Mexico OR programs.

EndeavOR New Mexico, the state’s Outdoor Recreation business alliance, is a new non-profit that launched August 2020. Their mission is to expand the Outdoor Recreation economy, engage the OR community and enhance the OR experience in New Mexico.

Substantial dollars and resources are currently being allocated by New Mexico legislators to ensure the sector becomes a major economic driver, generating substantial GRT, Lodgers’ Tax and creating new jobs and companies.

The City of Clovis and the Curry County Chamber of Commerce support endeavOR’s efforts and intend to make them a priority in Eastern New Mexico, specifically in Clovis. Achieving their goals will include several different efforts, such as creating new Outdoor Recreation businesses such as tour guides, outfitters, gear manufacturers and event promoters; building trails and bike parks; and encouraging communities to spend time outside camping, hiking, mountain biking, off-roading, hunting and fishing.

A presentation by endeavOR New Mexico will be held on August 15th at 10:30 am at the Curry County Chamber of Commerce in Clovis. It will be open to all community members interested in outdoor recreation, especially those associated with the city and county governments, local businesses and industry.

Interested parties can RSVP to the event by calling 575-763-3435.
