Two suspects apprehended in recent vehicle thefts

CHAVEZ COUNTY (KSMX)- A man and a woman wanted for vehicle thefts in Roosevelt and Curry Counties were apprehended yesterday, April 26.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office took to social media for assistance in the search for two individuals known as Joy Estes and Abery Miller out of Roswell.

According to the RCSO’s Facebook page, the two were the main suspects in the recent rash of vehicle thefts in Roosevelt, Curry, Cochran Counties, and possibly many other areas.

After a post that circulated Facebook receiving approximately 20,000 engagements/shares in only 2 hours, the RCSO updated their page with the capture of the two after a high-speed chase involving a stolen pickup out of Cochran county. With many agencies involved in the search for the two, Hagerman Police brought in both suspects.
