Two concerts postponed for the 2020 Draggin Main Music Festival
CLOVIS (KSMX)- Last week the committee in charge of the Draggin Main Music Festival announced that they will be postponing the Thursday night’s Faith & Family Night with headliner 7eventh Time Down and Friday’s Rock concert featuring 38 Special until next year.
Per the press release, the most difficult decision was to postpone the two concerts but are still planning on having a full week of the Draggin’ Main portion of the event with a full lineup including the Tour of Clovis’ Classic Restaurants, Gearhead Gathering, and the biggest event: the Draggin’ Main Music Festival Main Street Cruise set for June 15-20.
“For more than six months, the DMMF committee has been working very hard to plan and improve the 2020 event,” explained Gene Porter, a DMMF Committee member. “As you can imagine, we have had to face an unprecedented world pandemic. The health and financial impact that this pandemic will have on our community, country and the world remains to be seen and we have had to make some of the toughest decisions ever as a committee.”
This year’s event will also welcome the Harley Owners Group, who will have their regional cookout during the event. Additionally, in spite of the financial blows to many local businesses, many event sponsors have found ways to give to the incredible event, as well as approve the use of their previous donations for the postponed concerts in 2021.
