TOP SHOT TOURNAMENT BRINGS IN FUNDS FOR OASIS CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

CLOVIS (KSMX) The Top Shot Tournament in Clovis last weekend raised money for The Oasis Children’s Advocacy Center. CAC Executive Director Cheryl Little and The Firing Pin near Clovis helped to organize the event. For the past twenty years, CAC has offered a meeting room for children to be taken to for forensic interviews. These are children who have been victimized or have witnessed serious crimes. After a serious budget shortfall this year, the CAC found itself in a pinch when a state grant that covers half of the CAC’s annual budget was denied. However, the Top Shot Tournament brought in about $5,000, allowing the CAC to continue its operations for at least the next six months.
