CLOVIS (KSMX)- On Thursday, October 10th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. the U.S. Census Bureau will host a recruiting event at the New Mexico Workforce Collection. The census is currently hiring workers for various temporary jobs in advance of the 2020 Census. The application includes assessment questions about education and work experience. Individuals will also be able to apply for positions onsite.
The census is looking to recruit over 23,000 applicants in New Mexico and jobs will include census takers, recruiting assistants, office clerks, and supervisory staff. Positions are based throughout the state and local employees will earn between $13.50-$15.50 per hour.
