THE IDENTITIES OF THOSE INVOLVED IN THE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT HAVE BEEN RELEASED
CLOVIS (KSMX)- On Monday July 29th, at around 8:35 a.m. Officers with the Clovis Police Department along with Clovis Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a fatal crash at the intersection of Ross St. and Commerce Way.
The motor vehicle crash involved a motorcycle versus a City of Clovis sanitation truck. The driver and occupant of the motorcycle; Bobby Trujillo (51 years of age), and Patricia Trujillo (61 years of age), were on the ground, in the roadway when emergency personnel arrived.
Bobby Trujillo was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center, and was ultimately flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Patricia Trujillo had succumbed to her injuries and died on scene.
The driver of the sanitation truck was also transported to Plains Regional Medical Center.
The Clovis Police Department’s Major Crash Team was activated and the investigation into this crash is ongoing.
