THE CITY OF CLOVIS WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDERS FOR THEIR WORK

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Because of the incidents that happened over the weekend and earlier this week, officials would like to extend a word of gratitude to the Emergency Responders that were called into action.

City of Clovis Emergency First Responders were on scene last Saturday afternoon and evening during the fire on Highway 60/84 and Pile which engulfed the old flour mill. Fire personnel worked tirelessly to control the fire on Saturday, while Public Works erected barricades, and Clovis Police Department directed traffic due to the blaze which caused a power outage in the area. The fire at the old Clovis flour mill was contained, and an investigation to the cause of the fire is ongoing.

Monday morning Clovis emergency personnel responded to a fatal accident at Commerce and Ross to assist those at the scene.

A-1 Alignment owner Commissioner Garry Elliott stated: “I cannot begin to express my admiration for the dedication and professionalism of the City of Clovis’ emergency first responders. Their service to the community in this most honorable profession is of the highest standard, and they have our greatest respect for their compassion and commitment.”
