TAOS AVALANCHE TURNS DEADLY

TAOS (KSMX) – One of the two people pulled out of the avalanche at a ski resort in Taos yesterday, has died. The 22-year-old man had been taken to Holy Cross Medical Center for treatment, where he passed away around 5:00 p.m. yesterday. The other man pulled from the snow is in critical condition at UNM; according to hospital officials. Further information has not been released at this time. The avalanche crashed down a mountainside Thursday at Taos Ski Valley, 124 miles (151 kilometers) northeast of Albuquerque.
