SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
CLOVIS (KSMX) – The suspect wanted for Thursday’s homicide has been located and is behind bars thanks to multiple agencies. On Friday, May 29th, at approximately 10 PM officers with the Portales Police Department located Steaphan Shepherd in their jurisdiction after receiving a tip of his location. Shepherd was taken into custody by officers and the Clovis Police Department was contacted about the arrest.
Shepherd was transported back to the Clovis Police Department for processing and then taken to the Curry County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked into the facility for an open count of Murder.
