STUDY SHOWS LOCAL AREA AS BEST PLACES TO BUY HOUSES IN NEW MEXICO

NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – A new study says Roosevelt and Curry Counties are among the best places to buy a home in New Mexico. Roosevelt is ranked 5th and Curry is 9th – each taking just over three years to break even on. SmartAsset, a financial tech company, compared the cost of buying versus renting. With similar mortgage rates, closing costs, down payments and annual income. The breakeven point for buying versus renting was a key factor.  Luna County was number one.
