State Land Office and Partners Offering Drought Resource Webinar Series

SANTA FE (KSMX)- The New Mexico State Land Office (SLO), in partnership with the Quivira Coalition (QC), the Coalition to Enhance Working Lands (CEWL), and the Western Landowners Alliance (WLA), will offer a three-part webinar series for grazing lessees and agricultural producers with information and resources related to drought management. The series will focus on New Mexico, but information and resources are relevant to other Southwestern states, and all are welcome to attend.
“New Mexico farmers and ranchers provide an invaluable service to our state, and we want to return the favor in any way possible,” Commissioner of Public Lands Stephanie Garcia Richard said. “The purpose of this webinar series is to do just that, and provide people with a panel of experts in drought management, resources, and programs that can help them survive drought cycles that are a common threat to their livelihoods in our arid, desert state.”
The webinar series will take place Monday, June 22, Tuesday, June 23, and Thursday, June 25 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm as well as 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm MST. Those interested in participating can register online.
