SOCIAL SECURITY SCAMMERS USING WHAT SEEMS TO BE LEGITIMATE NUMBERS

PORTALES (KSEL)- Citizens of Portales and Clovis area have received calls from what seems to be a social security office requesting information from addresses to actual social security numbers, saying that all personal assets are at risk.

They will reassure you that they are working in your best interest and that by “removing all money from these accounts to send them abroad will keep them safe”.

Officials have stated to NOT REVEAL ANY PERSONAL INFROMATION to these scammers and to report it at once. They are using numbers that come up on cell phones stating Social Security or legitimate businesses, however, the social security office will never ask you to remove money or reveal personal information.
