SENTENCING HEARING CONTINUES

Clovis, NM (KSMX) – Convicted murderer Nathaniel Jouett’s sentencing begins today. The hearing could last five days or more. Jouett pleaded guilty to shooting and killing two Clovis-Carver Library employees in August of 2017. Four others were injured. It’s not clear – yet – what the judge or prosecution wants as a sentence. It could be as much as consecutive life sentences with an additional 96 years tacked on. Jouett said he was considering a shooting at Clovis High School before he went to the library.
