SECOND STUDENT ARRESTED IN CLOVIS HIGH INCIDENT

CLOVIS (KSMX) – New information regarding the brief lockdown at Clovis High School on Monday. A second teenager has been arrested in connection with that plastic imitation pistol that was found in the waistband of one student. Officers were called to the school after an adult called 911 to report what he thought was a gun in the waistband of a student who walked into the building. The school immediately went on lockdown just after 1pm Monday. The pistol turned out to be a plastic replica. The 17 year-old student who had the replica is not being named, but another 18 year-old student, Jeremiah Maes, was also arrested. The criminal complaint says Maes interjected himself in the investigation by calling someone a snitch.
