SCHOOLS AROUND NM SEEING SIGNIFICANT TEACHER SHORTAGES

NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Schools around the state are struggling to find teachers. A recent report from New Mexico State, suggests more than 700 teaching jobs are unfilled. That includes elementary, middle and high school teaches. The biggest need is elementary with nearly 300 jobs open, followed by more than 200 for high school jobs. The report blames, low pay, high expectations.
