Scheduled water outage in Portales

Portales, NM – The City of Portales will have a scheduled water outage due to updating infrastructure in the area of East 1st Street, East 2nd Street, East 3rd Street, Hayes, and Toledo. The maintenance is planned as follows:
Tuesday May 20th, 2025, 9:00am until 5:00pm
Wednesday May 21st, 2025, 8:30am until 5:00pm
During this period, water service will be temporarily unavailable to the area and some surrounding areas. We recommend that you store enough water for your needs during the outage. Once the maintenance is completed, there may be a brief period of discolored water or air in the pipes. Running your cold tap for a few minutes should help clear this up.
