SAGAMORE WIND PROJECT OFFICIALS SEEK NEW MEXICO CONTRACTORS
PORTALES (KSEL)- Xcel Energy has made way in their $800 million wind turbine project starting in Hale County Texas and now contractors and suppliers are wanted 17 miles southeast of Portales to take on the Sagamore Wind Project in Roosevelt County. This will be a $40 million project and is beginning this fall and finished by December of 2020.
Souder, Miller & Associates is an engineering, environmental and surveying firm that will be providing services for the process of vetting New Mexico contractors and sub-contractors who wish to take part in this project. The Sagamore Wind Project will be resulting in a 240 Wind Turbine project with 522 megawatts of power. In order to take part in the project contractors must pre-register at the SMA website using exact information. Professional engineer for SMA, Russ Doss, stated, “this will be great for New Mexico and the wind technology and workforce”.
