Roosevelt General Hospital receives rapid testing equipment

PORTALES (KSEL)- CEO of Roosevelt General Hospital announced plans for receiving rapid testing equipment at RGH following a conversation with the New Mexico Department of Health.
Three issues were brought up in the conversation including delays in testing, rapid testing and a drive-thru testing clinic.
NMDOH officials were not aware of the delays in testing and quickly resolved the issue with Green by eliminating a step in the process. Plans were also kicked into gear to provide the eastern plains with a rapid testing site specifically at RGH. The same equipment previously deployed to Roswell, Artesia and Carlsbad by the state will now be sent to Roosevelt General Hospital.
RGH plans to conduct a drive-thru COVID-19 test clinic in the near future–very likely next week.
The RGH COVID-19 screening and treatment is available for anyone who thinks they have been exposed or is experiencing symptoms of the virus. As you enter the hospital parking lot you will be directed on how to get to the tented area.
