PORTALES (KSEL)- Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office has released information concerning the death of a Roosevelt man.
According to the press release, on March 8 at approximately 11:30 am deputies with the Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office Responded to an injured subject on NM highway 235 near the Texas state line.
Upon arrival at the location, deputies determined that Benjamin Tabor age 35 had sustained head injuries during some type of altercation with another male individual while parked on the side of the road. Tabor was alert and talking upon arrival and was evaluated at the scene.
He was then transported to the Roosevelt General Hospital for his injuries. After initial assessment by staff at RGH Tabor was then transported to a Lubbock Hospital where several days later he succumbed to his injuries.
“The 9th judicial Major Crimes unit has been activated and the incident is under investigation and nothing further will be released until the investigation is complete”.
