ROOSEVELT COUNTY MANAGER APPOINTED TO STATEWIDE COMMITTEE
NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Officials with the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission announced that Roosevelt County Manager Amber Hamilton has been appointed as the newest member of the commission. Hamilton has served as the manager since 2014, previously serving as director or marketing, public relations and hospitality for Roosevelt General Hospital and administrated the Hospital’s Arise Sexual Assault Services program. She is active in the International Association of City/County Managers, Roosevelt County Crime Stoppers, Portales Woman’s Club, among others. The commission, which is comprised of 15 individuals, was established by the Supreme Court of New Mexico in 1997 as a volunteer, nonpartisan commission that works to improve the performance of judges in the state, as well as provide useful, credible information to voters on judges standing for retention in general elections.
