ROOSEVELT COUNTY CLERK FOUND DECEASED

Roosevelt County Clerk Stephanie Hicks McMath was found deceased in her home Sunday evening, according to a release from county manager Amber Hamilton. Hicks McMath has served as Roosevelt County Clerk since Nov 2018 and was slated for re-election in November. She was a full-time public servant for 16 years and worked within elections for 31 years. Hamilton says of McMath, “Stephanie has been such an amazing and gifted public servant for our county and the state.” Hicks McMath, along with her team, have been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming election. Several counties including Curry and Bernalillo have offered to assist Roosevelt County in any way needed. More information surrounding her passing has not been released. Services are pending.
