ROOSEVELT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL DISCUSS ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE AT NEXT MEETING

PORTALES (KSEL)- The Roosevelt County Board of Commissioners will have their regular business meeting tomorrow at 9:00 am (June 25) at the Roosevelt County Courthouse County Commission Room.

On the agenda the board will discuss the payroll from May 1, 2019 through May 31, 2019 totaling: $381,938.32 as well as break into an executive session to disucuss attorney-client privileged information pertaining to threatened or pending litigation, specifically the McFarlin vs. Roosevelt County, Hernandez vs. Roosevelt County, Parrish vs. Roosevelt County, Natural Chem Holdings, National Prescription Opiate Litigation, and NMTRD Litigation and to discuss attorney- client privileged information relating to pending or threatened litigation and/or limited personnel matters.

About a week after Curry County commission board unanimously passed a resolution calling for election to allow alcohol sales in the unincorporated parts of the county, Roosevelt County Commission will be considering a similar resolution to be called for election as well. Curry and Roosevelt are the only two counties in New Mexico that are dry. The dry status does not apply to cities within those counties that choose to offer alcohol sales.
