ROOSEVELT COUNTY BOARD MEETING WILL BE DISCUSSING BORDER CHECK POINTS PRIORITY AND BUDGET
PORTALES (KSEL)- The Roosevelt County Board of Commissioners will host a special meeting Thursday at 1 pm at the Roosevelt County Courthouse. Among some of the agenda items will be the discussion of support on behalf of the Commission supporting the United States, Mexico and Canada Agreement (USMCA) to the federal government, consideration of setting fees, rates, and costs for Roosevelt County, as well as opposing the relocation of asylum-seekers to Roosevelt County and the request for border check points to be reopened and remain a priority.
