EASTERN NEW MEXICO (KSMX ) – Some road work could impact your travel plans. Crews in Roosevelt County are expected to begin work today on SRR V from NM 236 to NM 267. They’ll be doing similar work on SRR 7 from NM 88 to SRR P. If all goes to plan. They’ll wrap it up by Thursday, Feb. 22. Both roads are being enhanced to caliche from dirt as part of a Local Government Road Fund Grant. If you use those routes you are urged to slow down and watch for heavy equipment and personnel. Additionally, as a reminder, road work begins today on 7th Street in Clovis, from Norris to Sycamore. The work is expected to be completed in June, with the intersection of Norris and 7th completed in one month.
