ROAD PAVEMENT PROJECTS FOR DE BACA, ROOSEVELT AND CURRY COUNTIES

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The New Mexico Department of Transportation will begin pavement rehabilitation projects to improve the road surfaces in Curry, De Baca, and Roosevelt Counties this month.

Work is expected to be complete this winter, weather permitting.

Improvement work will take place:
• U.S. 60/84 through the town of Fort Sumner in DeBaca County
• U.S. 60/84 through the town of Melrose in Curry County
• U.S. 70 through the town of Kenna in Roosevelt County

During the project motorists can expect a one-lane closure and short delays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Drivers are asked to watch for construction personnel working in the area, observe temporary construction signing, and reduce speed to the posted speed limits.
