Retailers and Houses of Worship able to operate at 25%
SANTA FE (KSMX)- Less than a few days after Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and state health officials announced that restrictions for non-essential business would be lessened and the beginning of phase one of the economic recovery plan, a press conference was held to make even more lessonings on capacity guidelines.
Effective May 16, all retailers and houses of worship will be able to operate at 25 percent of fire code capacity. COVID-safe practice be in place to operate. This does not include retailers such as movie theatres, concert halls or amusement parks. (This does not apply to northwestern public health regions.)
Public health orders requiring face-covering in public settings will go into effect as well on May 16.

What will remain the same:
- Stay at home order still in effect especially for vulnerable and sick individuals.
- Congregations of more than 5 are prohibited
- Maintain physical distances
- High-intensity contact services like dine-in at restaurants, indoor malls, salons and gyms remain closed
