REPORT OF WATERLINE REPAIRS AND ROAD CLOSURE
PORTALES (KSEL) – The City of Portales Public Works Utilities Superintendent has reported that waterline repairs on North Avenue K in the area of Taco Box and the Sands Motel have ended up being more than just one leak.
One of the lines was repaired yesterday and while the other line has been isolated, it will require additional work.
Water service has already been restored to businesses that were affected yesterday.
The street at North Avenue K and US 70 going north to the railroad crossing will remain closed for at least another week until the repairs can be completed.
At this time, the City of Portales does not foresee further disruptions in water service caused by this incident.
