RECOUNT SHOWS ZAMORA IN LEAD
EASTERN NM (KSMX) – It looks like there will not be any changes within the District 63 race for the state legislature. After a recount, Republican Martin Zamora maintained his razor-thin lead over incumbent George Dodge, Jr. Although both candidates gained a couple votes in Curry County, there were no changes to the totals in De Baca, Roosevelt, Guadalupe, or San Miguel Counties. The final total was 2,982 votes for Zamora and 2,957 votes for Dodge. Dodge says he will continue his work as the Guadalupe County manager. Zamora owns a ranch in Curry County.
