PRINCE STREET OVERPASS COMPLETION DATE UPDATE

Road construction zone with orange warning sign.

CLOVIS (KSMX) – For those with a commute in or out of Clovis, a detour to either Norris Street or the Hull street overpass has been the route drivers can take, and unfortunately it appears that detour may be a bit longer than originally expected. The Prince Street Overpass work, which includes the Bridge Rehabilitation, Lighting work that began last September, was expected to last nine months; however according to nmroads.com, the work will take a few months longer, and is expected to be completed by November. Additionally, road work is set to begin on Monday where crews will be closing the intersection of Norris and 7th Street, for approximately one month, weather permitting. Additionally, 7th Street between Sycamore and Norris will also be closed until June to facilitate utility road construction work for the City of Clovis 7th Street Reconstruction phase II Project. Detour signage will be placed in the area, and crews are asking to use caution in the work zone.
