POSSIBLE IDEA OF PERMITTING ALCOHOL SALES IN RURAL AREAS OF THE COUNTY
PORTALES (KSEL)- Roosevelt County Commissioners at yesterday’s meeting entertained the idea of permitting alcohol sales in rural areas of Roosevelt county. Argument was made that by allowing limited sales of alcohol in the county, there is opportunity to build Roosevelt county. Commissioners agreed to hear more of the process that would lift alcohol restrictions next meeting. They agreed that with the proper plan and support from the community the idea of open alcohol sales would play out well with the area.
The commission next meets June 4 at 9 a.m. in its chambers at the Roosevelt County Courthouse.
