PORTALES MAN FOUND GUILTY OF DRUG CHARGES

PORTALES (KSEL) – A Roosevelt County jury has found a Portales man guilty of trafficking meth. 42-year-old Jose Enriques was found guilty by a jury on Tuesday. He was also convicted for a charge of conspiracy to commit trafficking of a controlled substance. The charges stem from an undercover investigation by the Region Five Drug Task Force that began in July of 2017. A search warrant turned up eight individually packaged baggies of meth valued at about 5-thousand dollars. Judge Donna Mowrer sentenced Enriques to 13 years in the state prison, with three years suspended in favor of supervised probation.
