PORTALES HIGH SEEKING TO ADOPT E-SPORTS
PORTALES (KSEL) – New sports could be coming to Portales High School. The school board is considering a plan to adopt e-sports. E-sports are organized video game competitions. Dozens of schools in New Mexico participate. A number of colleges across the country have adopted e-sports. Even the National Basketball Association has a professional division with e-sports teams competing nationally.
