PORTALES FIRE REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION
PORTALES (KSEL)- At approximately 10 p.m., Fire and emergency crews received a call about a large structure fire in Portales. The fire was located on I Street, between Commercial and First.
More than 50 firefighters from Portales, Clovis, Texico, Elida, Milnesand, Floyd, Arch, Dora and Causey departments battled the blaze. There is no indication, at this time, that this fire has any relation to the large structure fire that occurred earlier today in Clovis.
Crews were still watching hot spots on the building Sunday. The building was considered a total loss, but no damage was reported to neighboring properties. No one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
