PORTALES FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PERFORM CONTROLLED BURN
PORTALES (KSEL) – Coming up on Monday, the Portales Fire Department will be conducting a controlled burn, weather permitting. The controlled burn is set to take place at the Blackwater Well Field, east of the city, bordered by U.S. 70 and the Cacahuate Highway. The Portales City Fire department continues to work to reduce the risk of dangerous spontaneous fires that can cause damage to property, or injuries.
