PORTALES DAYCARE TRIAL CONTINUES
PORTALES (KSEL) – A Portales jury continues to hear testimony in a 2017 case involving the death of a toddler and serious injury to another at a local day care. A mother and daughter – Mary and Sandi Taylor are charged with abuse and reckless endangerment after allegedly leaving two small children in a car for nearly three hours that summer. Defense maintains it was a tragic accident, not a crime. If convicted, the Taylors could spend as much as 18 years – each – in prison.
