PORTALES CITY TO SEND OUT MAIL-IN BALLOTS

PORTALES (KSEL) – During their meeting last month, the Portales City Council adopted an ordinance that amended a portion of the Portales Municipal Code that was adopted in 1998, to amend and revise the City’s Economic Development Goals, Strategies and Priorities. The ordinance expands the goals of the existing Economic Development ordinance. The reason for amending the City Code is due to a change in State Statues. A special mail ballot election is set for April 4th, with ballots to be mailed out to the voters inside Portales City Limits on March 11th. Mail in ballots need to be returned to the City Clerk’s office by 7:00 p.m. on April 4th. Questions concerning the mail in ballot, can be directed to the City Clerk.
