Portales and Roosevelt County declare an area of emergency
PORTALES (KSEL)- Portales City Commission met today for approximately fifteen minutes during a special meeting to discuss a resolution declaring the City of Portales as an area of emergency in the result of the current health pandemic.
Passing unanimously, this resolution seeks federal and state aid if needed as well as authorizing the City Manager to modify the city personnel policy and city policies as needed.
The Roosevelt County Commission also passed the same resolution yesterday, April 7, at their regular meeting via telephonic declaring the County as an area of emergency.
