CLOVIS (KSMX)- The City of Clovis Parks and Recreation department are making moves on the plans to bring a public shooting range at Ned Houk Park.
According to the public hearing held last week, the state will cover most of the facility, but the city will operate it. The department will still need to take public input on environmental issues. The public is encouraged to comment on the plans to the Department of Game and Fish through the end of the month.
As of right now, the plan is to include an indoor air gun and archery facility. Outdoor facilities will include skeet and trap shooting. The plans for the entire range are still about a year away.
