PLAINS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ICU AT CAPACITY
In a FaceBook post last night, the page Curry County New Mexico posted that on Sunday County Manager Pyle spoke with Plains Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Interim Hospital Chief Executive Jorge Cruz. Sunday morning PRMC started with 32 COVID+ patients of which 8 are in ICU with 6 on ventilators. They are trying to transfer 1 ventilated patient to Albuquerque as soon as a bed is available. PRMC ICU is at max capacity with 11 patients. November 30th, PRMC is shutting down ALL elective cases to free up additional nurses and bed space. Please keep our medical workers in your thoughts. Let’s work together to mitigate the spread to decrease the strain and burden on our medical workers.
