PERSON OF INTEREST IDENTIFIED IN MONDAY AFTERNOON SHOOTING
Around 1:00 on Monday, Clovis Police Officers were dispatched to 1601 Sutter Place in Clovis, New Mexico for a male with a gunshot wound to the leg. On arrival, officers located a male, identified as Terence Abeyta, age 21, with a gunshot wound to his upper right thigh. Clovis Fire Department and EMS responded, and Abeyta was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center – Emergency Room, where he was being treated for a single gunshot wound.
During this investigation, a person of interest was identified as Christopher Rodriguez, age 36. This investigation is still active and the whereabouts of Christopher Rodriguez is unknown at this time.
